Our name is Swedish for built to last.
Hållbar (often written Hallbar) means durable, sustainable, long lasting. It is a promise about how our homes perform, and about how they are built: with the builder beside you from the first conversation to the day you get the keys.

Connection first
The relationship comes before the contract. We get to know you, your site and how you like to work before any money is spent on design, because a build runs on trust as much as it runs on drawings.

The builder in the room
Patrik is involved early, while the design is still taking shape, giving feasibility and cost input as it develops, so the design you fall in love with is one that can actually be built for your budget.

Homes that perform
Passive house principles go into every build as far as the brief and budget allow. Well-sealed envelopes, thermally broken glazing and considered ventilation, so the house holds its temperature and the air stays healthy.

A name on the build
Every Hållbar home carries our name, and that changes how it is built. We stay small on purpose, finish every detail to the standard we would want in our own home, and the relationship carries on long after handover.

A European standard, a South Coast home.
I started Hållbar with a simple conviction: that homes on the South Coast could be built to a higher standard than the industry took for granted. Drawing on my Swedish heritage, where homes are designed to perform in some of the most demanding climates on earth, I kept seeing the same thing here. Homes leaking energy, built to a minimum code that European builders would treat as a starting point.
I decided that if my name was going on a build, it would be built the way I believe homes should be: healthy, considered, and fit for the lives lived inside them.
For Patrik, health and wellbeing sit at the heart of everything, and that starts with living in a healthy home. Off site, you’ll find him with his family, taking his daughter for laps at the Mogo mountain bike trails, out on the golf course, or sneaking off for a fish.

Hållbar is Patrik, Treena and a small crew. We work by enquiry only: no call centre, no phone queue, just a considered conversation with the people who will build your home. When you get in touch, it is Patrik or Treena who replies.
Through the build you follow every stage in Wunderbuild, our project management software, message Patrik directly, and see decisions documented as they happen. Staying small is what keeps that promise possible.
