What we build

Architectural homes, built to perform.

New builds, renovations, studios and healthy, high-performing homes across the Eurobodalla. Different briefs, one standard: built to European standards, and fit for the lives lived inside them.

Architectural new builds

New builds designed and priced together.

Custom homes built from the ground up, with Patrik in the room early, ideally before the design is locked. Cost is tested against your budget at every decision, so the design you fall in love with is one that can actually be built.

European construction principles applied to Australian coastal conditions: well-sealed envelopes, considered detailing, and materials chosen to last.

Healthy, high-performing homes

Homes that hold their temperature.

Passive house principles go into every Hållbar build as far as the brief and budget allow, and fully certified passive house builds are available for clients who want the full standard. Patrik is a certified passive house tradesperson.

  • A well-sealed, well-insulated envelope, so the house holds its temperature instead of leaking it.
  • Thermally broken double glazing. Quiet, warm in winter, cool through summer.
  • Considered ventilation for fresh, filtered air and far lower running costs over the life of the home.

Renovations and extensions

Renovations worth doing properly.

From cottages brought back to life to whole homes taken back to bricks and frame. We renovate the way we build new: performance first, with the same care for sealing, insulation and glazing wherever the structure allows.

Calga Crescent got a redesigned layout, a new roof and a five-metre internal sliding wall. Queanbeyan Cottage kept its 1920s character and gained double glazing throughout.

Studios and secondary dwellings

Small buildings, built to the same standard.

Guest rooms, studios and secondary dwellings that earn their place: the Moruya Sleepout in recycled brick, the Broulee Workshop in birch ply with ventilated wall and roof cavities. Small in footprint, not in thinking.

Pre-construction consultancy

The builder in the room, before you build.

Every service above starts here. Our pre-construction consultancy brings client, architect and builder together from the first conversation, so feasibility and cost shape the design rather than ambushing it.

Site evaluation, architect collaboration, a preliminary estimate from real project data, and an itemised fee proposal that becomes the foundation of a fixed-price HIA or MBA contract.
